Hand-Made Pane Pane Carasau is a thin, crunchy flatbread made from durum wheat flour, salt, yeast and water. The name is derived from the Sardinian word "carasare," meaning crust of the bread. 

Pane Carasau is traditionally made in Sardinia and can last up to one year if kept dry. It is very popular on the island for its crunchiness and taste and can be used to prepare different kinds of finger food such as pane carasau frattausta, which means pane carasau flatbread folded in half and cut into small pieces.
